About FBI National Academy Associates
From its inception in 1935, the FBI National Academy has long been a vital element in the continuing improvement of law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation throughout the world. The National Academy and the FBI’s 'Field Police Training Program' provide a wide range of leadership and specialized training, as well as an opportunity for professional law enforcement officials to share ideas, techniques, and experiences.
In 2010, the FBI National Academy celebrated its 75TH year anniversary. Upon reflection, the institution saw the development of quarterly classes consisting of 10 weeks of training for upper and mid level law enforcement. The curriculum focuses on leadership and management training and consists of courses relating to Leadership and Management Science, Behavioral Science, Law, Communication, Forensic Science and Health/Fitness.
Over 36,000 students have graduated from the FBI National Academy, of which 7% of the students are international, U.S. territories and possessions.
As the mission continues, it was best said by former FBI Director Judge William H. Webster. 'Set the standard for integrity, competence, dedication and professionalism, and enforce the law in a constitutional manner.'
